Homeless Gear Drive

Local Girl Scout Troop #642, comprised of local 6-8^th graders, is conducting an outdoor gear drive for an organization called Homeless Gear. This group collects unwanted outdoor gear and redistributes these items to the homeless. Items to be collected are

Backpacks

Pack Cover Daypacks

Sleeping Bags

Sleeping pads

Cots

Blankets

Tents

Stuff Sacks

Ground Cloths or Small Tarps

Warm Coats

Hats, Scarves or Gloves

Boots and Socks

Rain Ponchos

Water Bottles

Insect Repellent and Sunscreen

First Aid kits

Personal Hygiene Items

Flashlights or Headlamps

Battery Powered Alarm Clocks

Camping/Backpacking Bowls, Plates, Cups, Spoons, and Forks

Sunglasses

Donations may be dropped off at the Estes Park Pet Lodge, Elkhorn Properties, and the Public Library or call Laurie Goff at 586-5492 By December 11, 2008.
